Thank you to all of the phenomenal nurses out there—and especially thank you to all of the incredible nurses on our team.
To close out National Nurses Month, we wanted to highlight the amazing nurses on our team. Nurses balance administrative responsibilities, patient care, compassion, communication, and so much more. They are the boots on the ground with the patients, often getting much more facetime with them than anyone else on the care team.
The story of nursing staffing shortages is nothing new. The demand for nurses has simply grown so high that the United States is having a difficult time keeping up. Add this to a global pandemic, and current staffing shortages are no surprise—though it is a huge concern. Nurses and the challenges they face (staffing shortages, for one) continue to be at the forefront of the national conversation. And for good reason: they are the backbone of our health system and critical in fighting COVID-19 (Source: Incredible Health).
We wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all the phenomenal nurses out there, and especially to our nurses here at MedSitter. Take a look below to find out more about the nurses on our team.
Sarah Adams, RN, Project Manager: I love being a nurse because it lets me do what I do best, and that’s taking care of others. To me, MedSitter means patient safety. It’s what we do.
MedSitter means partnership, better patient outcomes, and patient and staff satisfaction. Caring for multiple patients with complex needs is a huge responsibility. I think it is the nature of nurses to want to spend as much time with each patient as possible to make them feel better. Due to constant workplace demands along with the staffing shortage, this isn’t always possible. This is why I am excited to share the MedSitter technology with fellow nurses. With the use of MedSitter I would feel relieved knowing that there was someone always watching over my patient, keeping them safe while I was away caring for others.
When it comes to MedSitter, I am always in awe at how much work goes into creating our solution. From the development of the software to the selling of the product, delivering it to the customer, providing project management, training and implementation, and the ongoing follow-up—delivering our solution is truly a team effort.
Once MedSitter is brought into the facility and set up, I have the opportunity to train staff on the solution and their new program. I always look forward to meeting the staff, be it the nurses, managers, supervisors, or PSOs. I enjoy interacting with them and am always proud to educate them on this awesome technology, while knowing that MedSitter will help ease the burden of a chaotic and challenging environment. I also get to view all the Good Catches that have been submitted by our customers, and I am continually amazed by the situations that we help them avoid. MedSitter is truly making an impact in the lives of the nurses, patients, and their families. And I am excited to be a part of this team!
Thank you to all of our nurses during National Nurses Month!
